Three infrared stations put distance into the UAP search

A Galileo Project manuscript submitted to Sensors reports results from three all-sky long-wave-infrared stations around Las Vegas: Sphere, Hideout, and Wildhorse. The sites are separated by baselines of about 2.0 and 10.1 kilometers and use GPS-disciplined timing, calibrated camera geometry, automated track association, and aircraft ADS-B positions as ground truth. During May 24–30, 2026, the system processed roughly 210 million detections into 5.3 million tracks before applying quality and multi-station requirements.

Among 365 objects reconstructed from all three stations with at least 201 samples, 301 occupied an aircraft-like region: 284 matched ADS-B aircraft and 17 did not, but their kinematics were similar. The remaining 64 moved below 30 meters per second at roughly 3–5 kilometers altitude and were identified on inspection as small clouds. No object fell between the two populations. The result validates a ranging method over one week; it does not establish that anomalous objects never occur, and the manuscript has not yet completed peer review.

Why it matters

Distance converts angular motion into physical speed. A calibrated multi-site measurement can test an extraordinary-performance claim that a single dramatic clip usually cannot.

What the source establishes

Fresh submitted manuscript. The instrument test, calibration results, reported populations, and null finding are documented; peer review, independent replication, and release of the underlying dataset remain pending.
